Power Connections

By connecting the phases of the U-V-W motor (terminal board or direct wires) with the corresponding U-V-W terminals of the inverter and providing a positive speed command, the motor shaft rotates in accordance with the respective Datasheet.

Once connections have been made, check the following:

Below are instructions for the electrical connection

1.  Unscrew the No. 4 screws on the cover

2. Remove the cover from the terminal block

3. Unscrew No. 3 screws, remove No. 3 brass washers DIN125/A and No. 3 Grower washers DIN127/B

4. Introduce the Connecting Cables through the Cable Grommets provided

4a. Cable grommets option- Unscrew and then feed the connecting cables through the cable glands

4b. -Cable Gland Option - Screw on the cable glands to ensure IP sealing.

5.  Use N°3 eyelet terminals, according to the required dimensions for fixing to the terminal board

6. Secure the cables to the terminal block by tightening the screws and their washers with torque, according to the table.

8. Secure the cover with No. 4 screws using tightening torque of 1.2 Nm

Below is an overview of the standard cable glands and grommets used.

Follow these directions when verifying the size of the cable used to ensure IP sealing.

Thermal Sensor

The thermal sensor, when present, must be connected to a dedicated input of the inverter for proper management of the motor temperature or to a dedicated trip device that can handle any anomalies.

Various speed transducer solutions can be mounted on the motors covered in this manual. Connection diagrams are provided with the motor depending on the speed sensor solution fitted. Contact e-comer Srl technical department for more information than what is in the engine packaging.
