Start-up Instructions

Ensure that the main mechanical and electrical characteristics of the product match the application requirements.

Before connecting the motor to the machine or transmission system, it should be checked that:

If the application allows, run the motor without an applied load to verify proper electrical and mechanical functionality.

In case the no-load tests described above are successful, one can proceed to mechanically connect the motor to the machine and perform the load tests.

Before starting the motor, connected to the mechanical load, it should be checked that:

Note: All motors are balanced according to the UNI ISO 1940-1 standard by inserting "half a key" (if present); therefore, it is necessary to notify the e-comer Srl technical department of any applications in which the key is not used where the slot is present.

Care should always be taken to ensure that the inverter is suitable for driving motors before starting commissioning operations; if in doubt, consult the inverter supplier.

When the motor is disconnected from the control inverter, a dangerous voltage may still exist on the power terminals when the motor shaft is dragged (generator operation in permanent magnet synchronous motors). This means that the rotation of the crankshaft must be prevented before working on the motor.

Therefore, it is recommended to contact e-comer Srl's technical department if the engine is used in conditions other than the specifications.

Caution, during no-load operation with no load, applied, ensure that the key remains integral to the shaft to prevent it from being detached by centrifugal force!

Usage Conditions

The motors are intended for use in industrial applications and in accordance with nameplate data (in accordance with CEI EN 60034-1) and are designed to operate at the following rated conditions:

  1. Altitude: not exceeding 1,000 meters above sea level (a.s.l.).
  2. Ambient temperature at the place of installation: minimum -15°C, maximum +40°C (unless otherwise stated on the nameplate).
  3. Relative Humidity: ≤ 60%

For environmental conditions other than nominal, the power outputs will vary as indicated by the following expression:

Untitled

If the motors are intended to operate at an altitude between 1000 and 4000 m a.s.l. and / or if the ambient temperature is between +40 and + 60 ° C, it is necessary to multiply the rated power of the motor by a correction factor that allows the motor to comply with the operating class indicated on the plate.

The following tables allow you to separately determine the derating coefficients for ambient temperature and altitude above sea level.
