Installation Precautions

Read the complete instruction booklet carefully before undertaking any installation, and stock up on gearbox maintenance. No liability is accepted for any damage to property or people in case of non-compliance. In case of uncertainty or lack of understanding, stop work immediately and contact our technical department. Motors and the equipment that powers the motor are industrial instruments subjected to the current. During work, these devices consist of serious injury to property or people if the following instructions are not followed or if the necessary mechanical and electrical guards are removed, or in case of improper use or service.

Storage

The gearbox should be stored in a dry, clean, and vibration-free environment, which should be protected from temperature changes that could cause condensation. Please also protect all uncoated parts from oxidation. Be careful not to grease the friction surface at all. The storage temperature should be between 0° and +40° C.

Installation

The operation is very delicate and must be carried out with the utmost care by trained personnel to ensure proper operation of the gearbox.

The gearbox cannot be assembled in the following cases:

If the vehicle operates in the presence of electro-medical equipment, the temperature ensures compatibility between them.

The gearbox is mounted on the chassis by the vehicle manufacturer. The mounting operation should ensure that the gearbox operates with a perfect axial between the wheels. Even with the vehicle lifted off the floor, please make sure that the wheels turn freely without any kind of problem.

The gearbox (especially the motor) can reach high temperatures (over 80°): provide necessary protections for operators who might come in contact with it. Please maintain a minimum distance of 50 mm between the motor and guards for good air circulation.

Attach the gearbox to the frame without power, following these notes:
